We believe that designing, building and occupying a high performance, sustainable building requires knowledge, passion, and a commitment from all members of the team. We purchase monthly carbon offset credits to offset our company's carbon footprint, and we recycle all of our construction waste on every project. We also have a Sustainability Manager who oversees our efforts to reduce our company's and our client's impact on the environment.
- 50% of our project management team is LEED AP
- 100% of our preconstruction team is LEED AP
- 25% of our project management team is Green Advantage
We are involved and are partners with a number of green organizations including the Charlotte Chapter of the USGBC, Energy Star, Clean Air Works!, NC Green Power, Duke Energy Carbon Offset Program, Greenback, LLC, & Green Advantage.
We are proud to announce that Clean Air Works! presented Concorde Construction Company with a 2009 Innovation Award at their annual awards ceremony for our efforts in planning and organizing the Ayrsley Carpool Party. The event connected individuals in Charlotte's Southwest corridor in a carpool and relayed tips on "traveling green".
